Artist's Description
One of three 24-ft story poles located in the Tulalip Resort Casino’s lobby. Designed by James Madison and carved by Tulalip master carvers James Madison and Joe Gobin. The pole took nearly a decade to carve and was from a 1,000 ft tall red cedar tree felled in Darrington, Washington that was split three ways to make three separate story poles that now stand side by side in the resort casino's front entrance. This totem represents the story of the Tulalip tribe evolving, alive, transforming.
